Editorial policy

This page explains the process behind every Universo Astral article: how a topic is chosen, what goes into the text, what never does, and what happens when we get something wrong. It applies to both the English and the Portuguese versions of the site.

How we pick topics

Topics come from real questions asked by people studying astrology, tarot and numerology. Before opening a new one, the newsroom checks what the site has already published about it. If the question is already answered, we update the existing article instead of publishing a near duplicate. Each article answers one specific question rather than covering a broad subject.

How we check facts

Astronomical dates, planetary cycles, eclipses and moon phases are checked against reference sources such as public NASA data, the International Astronomical Union and ephemeris calendars. Historical context and the origin of traditions come from institutional archives, encyclopaedias and libraries. Every article links to at least one of those sources.

Symbolic interpretation is presented as interpretation, with its tradition named whenever possible. We do not turn symbolism into statements of fact.

Minimum structure of an article

1. A clear question answered in the opening lines, with no warm-up filler.
2. Sections carrying concrete information: dates, numbers, steps, comparisons.
3. A supporting resource, such as a data table or a numbered walkthrough.
4. Links to other articles on the site that go deeper into what is mentioned in passing.
5. At least one verifiable external source, with a link.
6. A closing FAQ answering direct questions about the topic.

An article that fails any of these is not published. The check runs automatically before anything goes live.

Use of artificial intelligence

Universo Astral uses AI tools to support research, drafting and translation, and says so openly in every article and on the About page. No text is published without going through the editorial checks described here, which include originality verification, source checking and team review. Responsibility for what is published lies with the newsroom, not with the tool.

What we never publish

• Astrological predictions presented as scientific fact.
• Promises about health, money, legal outcomes or relationships.
• Advice meant to replace a doctor, therapist, financial adviser or lawyer.
• Invented research, statistics, quotes or sources.
• Content copied from another site.

Corrections and updates

A reported mistake is a corrected mistake. When a report sent through our contact channel checks out, we revise the article and update the page modification date. Articles holding information that ages, such as transit calendars, are reviewed periodically.

Independence between content and advertising

The site is funded by advertising and, in some articles, by product recommendations that may earn a commission. Advertisers do not choose topics, do not review text and do not influence how any product is assessed. Details about ads, cookies and data are in the Privacy Policy.

Articles are signed by the Universo Astral Editorial Team, organised into desks by subject area. The site is operated in Brazil under company registration (CNPJ) 47.419.564/0001-27.
